Last night I said good-bye to my best friend! He is the love of my life and I had to say good-bye for an entire year. It has been a very surreal last 4 days for us. Neither of us could really fathom what this next year was going to be like. We still don't know. Last night we both were feeling alot of feelings all at once. Sadness. Happiness. Anxiousness. Nervousness. Excitement. It is a wierd feeling to feel all of those feelings at once. I am so sad that he had to go and I just never wanted that moment to ever get here, but if any of you could see the excitement he has about doing what he loves. I am happy I have a husband who loves his work. The Army is frustrating at times, but he loves flying the Apache and I could tell last night he was ready to get to Bagram to begin flying! We both held it together pretty well last night. We had our gut-wrenching sobs together on Saturday night....the last night we were able to sleep next to eachother. :( I think we both cried ourselves to sleep that night.

I sure will miss that man!
I really held it together pretty well last night. I was able to call family to let them know we said good-bye with minimal tears shed. I came home, got ready for bed, and layed on the couch and stared at the T.V. I think I might have been in a slight state of shock because about an hour after I got home I began shaking/shivering for the longest time. I could not get it to stop until I threw on all the blankets around and drifted to sleep. I did not sleep as well as I thought I would have last night, but I woke feeling sad but I know we are going to be just fine. Before we know it he will be home for R &R. I just need to get into a routine that will keep me busy! Thanks for checking in!
