So for my birthday in Afghanistan I had the privelege of shooting the Caesar. The Caesar is a 155mm artillery piece that is attached to the back of a truck that the French use here in country. My day has gone very well, although like most other big days of the year it was simply another day. However, the artillery shoot definitely was a great time and something I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise had I not been here at MRF. In other news I'm hoping to get a platoon at BAF sometime in the near future. I will keep you all updated when I hear something official. Enjoy the photos below, thanks for all the birthday wishes and have a great week!
Me during the setup phase
Look at that sweet helmet...
Me looking through the sight, trying to figure out exactly what I'm looking for, other than rocks.
FIRE!! Not as exciting as pulling the lanyard on the US 155mm, but pushing a button still makes a big boom!
Trying to catch the flame on the shot, this was the best I could do.
Me and French LT Gilm, he works in the Fires cell here at MRF.

Me and French Special OPs CPT Marcus. He flies Gazelles and is the Aviation LNO for the French SOF unit here.
