1/2 way mark!

This weekend marks 24 weeks of Travis being gone, which also translates into 6 whole months! 6 months ago I was mourning Travis leaving and hopefully 6 months from now, I will be living on cloud 9 counting down the days until his return!!! It is really hard to believe I have not seen or touched the love of my life in 6 whole months...and we still have 4 whole months to go until R&R. I see all my friends having their spouses come home for R&R's or deployments and I just think to myself "one day it will be our turn." That is the truth and I think I say that to myself daily at this point! Travis and I think that couples have two options when beginning a deployment: 1) use it to strengthen your marriage, friendship, and communication 2) or let the distance get the best of you, as a couple. We all still need your prayers to make it through the last half of this deployment! Some days are still harder then others. Please pray for all of our friends, that this deployment can help strengthen their marriage and that they can all fall deeper in love together. Some days are still better then others and we are still only able to talk once to twice a week. I got an email from the Sgt. Maj.'s wife (who I think is such an amazing lady, and I have LOVED getting to know her). She sent me these pictures of Travis. These are all taken outside his new job...the Sgt. Major went to visit him and make sure everything was going smoothly and as planned...and it is!!

Looks like he is eating some yummy food! Can't wait until he is home and he can grill again! I miss it, and I am sure he does too!

Isn't he so SUPER GOOD-LOOKIN?!?
I am SO proud of him!
