So my internet was on steroids tonight as I was able to load six pictures from my stay in Bagram thus far. The days tick by 12 hours at a time and surprisingly are going pretty fast. I can't believe it's December already! Today was surprisingly warm, probably near 60. Nothing too exciting has happened other than I took my first flight on Sunday. It was uneventful as it was just an orientation flight to some of the areas we will be flying to on a regular basis. All told I had 4 hours of flight time, unfortunately no shooting at the range but hopefully next time i'll get to shoot some rockets and 30mm. Anyways, hope all is well with everyone and I miss getting to visit families with Kim! Take care!

Driving along the perimeter fence looking out from the base

Typical "Bongo" truck they use as supply trucks. They're always brightly painted like this.

Looking out along perimeter again. The white stakes mark areas cleared for mines. The Soviets left a ton here when they left in the 80s.

My view from the flight line looking out towards the North. Snow already on the peaks!

Watching the sun come up over the Eastern mountains. The building on the left is where I work. It is quite a sight to behold each morning on my way to work.

Thanksgiving in a box! Most of my meals are to go, to include Thanksgiving turkey, but it was still tasty!
