What a fun tradtion the Army vs. Navy game is! It doesn't matter what happens at the end of the game it is fun, for me, to watch the tradition unfold every year. It makes me miss our WestPoint Days. That was a special time in our relationship, some good and some bad, but well worth it. This year is a little bittersweet because I do not get to watch it with my husband! Today has been a sad day! Christmas time is getting hard and the holiday is still 2 weeks out. I hate that Travis is missing seeing all the Christmas cards in the mail, seeing all the houses decorated in our neighborhood, or seeing all the decorations in our new city of Savannah. I miss us entertaining! Travis always grills somthing yummy on Army vs. Navy for friends and then we always host our Christmas party every year! I miss it. I miss him. I wish he could be here! This weekend also marks One month since Travis left. It has gone fast and slow all at the same time...if that makes any sense! I look forward to getting through 11 more months and finally having him home for a little while. Well, pray for strength this coming Christmas season, not only for me and Travis, but for all the families that are separated because of deployment.
