MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BAGRAM!!

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone back in the states had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! My Christmas went as well as it could being separated from loved ones. Christmas Eve before I was finished with my shift we were "tracking" Santa Clause through the skies of Afghanistan. Everyone seemed to have fun with it. Christmas Day was busy for me. I was fortunate to fly on Christmas, all told it was a 7.6 hour flight but it was great! Afterwards I spent the evening with my fellow Apache/Kiowa pilots for a nice Christmas dinner they had brought in. It felt like eating with family, though family of a different sort. On this day i noticed a difference in the air with people, though I can't really put to words what it was. All told it was a different Christmas, but a good Christmas at that. Nothing exciting happened on my flight (still no big bang for me yet!) but we did spread some Christmas joy to some of the refuelers with some candy canes when we were in Polish country! Below are some pics of my Christmas tree decorated, my Christmas card wall and me and my Christmas skunk on the flight (the skunk was in a stocking I received Christmas Eve prior to leaving work, so it was totally necessary that he accompany me on my Christmas flight!). I hope you all had a great Christmas and thank you on behalf of all of those over here for the love and support you give each and every soldier! God Bless and most of all,

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

Me ready to deliver lumps of coal to the Taliban :)

My "Christmas" skunk ready for flight!

All my cards! Thanks to all who have sent me anything!

My Christmas tree! It is a beaut if I do say so myself! Thanks Kim!
