The Journey has Begun!

We finally made it to see eachother! Space-A was interesting and since they had canceled a bunch of flights to Ramstein Air Force Base last week to send supplies to Afghanistan instead, there was a back log of people. Then when I got there, they would say there were flights with seats available and then at the last minute, the seats would be taken away. It was a bummer and some people had been stuck there for 6 days and counting. I was getting really nervous and contemplating buying a last minute commercial flight...but when I called my dad crying and unsure at what to do and getting his advice, since I couldn't talk to Travis, he worked his magic, like he always has, and had enough Skymiles to fly me to Frankfurt, Germany and back FIRST CLASS. Is that amazing or what?? A sudden rush of relief came over me and I could just feel God's hand over everything. I was praying for a miracle and I got one. I told dad I would have paid a million bucks to see Travis that day, but he didn;'t want me to have to do that. The best thing was that I was flying into Frankfurt only an hour after Travis got there. I went to baggage claim and Travis came up behind me and all was right with the world again. We hugged, kissed, and stared at each other in disbelief. We really didn't think this day would ever come!I don't think we have stopped talking since! Once we got our bags and caught up a bit we went to the USO at the airport and found that there was a free shuttle to Ramstein Airforce Base that left in 4 hours, so we killed time. Of course Travis was hungry so our first stop was MEXICAN!!! I got a picture of his first bite! The time went by quickly and we got on the shuttle! It is really beautiful here. Very green! The hotel, or should I say resort, at the air force base is amazing, and cheap! Newly renovated rooms and lobby. It is attached to the Base Exchange and some shops. There are also a few restaurants here. I can't believe I flew all the way to Germany to eat Macaroni Grill and Chili's! But that's what the husband wanted so that's what he got! Speaking of the husband (he said 'don't embarass me now') he has been working out and lift weights. His muscles are huge and he has a six-pack! Although, I am not sure how long that six-pack will last with all the yummy food we are eating, but he has it now! He looks good! After not showering or sleeping for 3 days that was priority number one once we got to our room! But last night, we slept an amazing 12 hours! We both were so excited when we woke up and saw it was 9 am here! Jet lag has not been too bad for me. I think since I did not sleep for so many days, I was ready to crash last night and then today I feel pretty normal. All of our reservations for travel from each place has offically been booked and now we are just going to relax a bit. Our train to Paris is early, so we will probably call it an early night. We miss our family and friends back home, but we are really having the time of our lives here. We will try and keep everyone updated from city to city!

And we recommend, anyone, military, and wanting to travel to Germany, Ramstein Airforce Base is awesome!!!!!!!
