R&R Catch-up! (This will be a long one...)

I have to be honest. I have been sort of avoiding updating the blog because I knew I had to talk about our amazingly blissful trip we just went on. Unfortunatly, we had to separate again. We know its only for a couple more months, but after already putting 10.5 months in, these last 2 seem almost impossible! But, when Travis got back to Afghanistan, he confirmed that he has actual plans of returning home! I am not really aloud to reveal the exact plans over the internet, but lets just say it is the first half of the month of November, so the count down is definetly on!
Back to our trip...it was dreamy! We had the absolute best time!! Lets start from the beginning: I had such a hard time getting there. Space A was not the best decision we have ever made, but we knew it was going to be risky, and it was! Luckily, Dad had lots of SkyMiles that he gave me and I was able to fly there and back. So, thankful. Travis was not able to check his email from the time he left Kuwait until he got to Frankfurt, Germany. So, by the time I got on the plane to fly from Atlanta to Frankfurt, I had no idea if Travis was going to find out I was going to fly into Frankfurt an hour after him. It was nerve racking, but we knew it would work out. God just laughs at our plans, right?? Luckily, Travis did check his email and did not leave the airport without me! My plane landed and I immediatly checked my email and saw that he was waiting. But at that time, Travis did not know if I was going to check my email. So, he just waited for an hour, hoping I was checking my email. Once I deplaned, I was SO excited. I looked horrible, after not showering for 2.5 days, but I knew Travis was in the same boat. Around every corner I was looking for him with a giant smile. I get to baggage claim area looking for a man in uniform. I saw a guy that could be Travis but he wasn't in uniform...so I am waiting for luggage...and out of no where, Travis is there! It was strange for like 5 seconds, but that was it. We hugged and kissed, and just stared at eachother. From that moment on we laughed and had permanent smiles on our faces for the next 15 days. We were very thankful to be able to catch-up right where left off 10 months prior. We made some amazing memories and more inside jokes then we can remember. We constantly had something to talk about or laugh about. We enjoyed exploring new places and trying new things. Travis was quite the awesome navigator and I enjoyed letting him take control. We slept, and slept, and slept. The first night we slept 12 hours...Travis woke up at 9:30am and said, we slept for 12 hours!! That hasn't happened for either of us in 10 months. We enjoyed laying in bed and relaxing and catching up! It really was a dream because when I woke up back in Savannah on Sept. 16, I had to really remind myself that is actually happened! Life has finally gotten back to 'normal.' We miss eachother more, if that was even possible, but the countdown is on. The month of November can not come fast enough!
